On May, 19 This Broken Machine will releas its new album, “The Inhuman Use Of Human Beings”.
13 tracks of unexpected and tormented Architectural Metal, filled with sharp-edged guitars, powerful bass, interlaced shouted and melodic voices, loaded and elaborated drums.
CONCEPT:
Alienation and existential distress caused by employment and the lack of it.
Job not only means maintenance, but also is an instrument of personal realization, for this reason unemployment and the unstableness can represent a real existential uneasiness. The Inhuman Use of Human Beings is about the metaphor of the fight of the man against the machine, since the same individual has become just a gear of the whole mechanism. It is a hard and tormented, dark and edgy music, with sporadic liquid and rarefied openings, that goes through uneasiness and suffering with a glimpse of hope and desire of redemption.

BAND:
This Broken Machine is a band originally formed in Milan, where the precarious balance between interests, orientations and characters feeds a constant evolution with a sound set somewhere between Tools, Mastodon, Deftones, Isis… Speaking about meaningful things, composing music without placing limits, letting loose the creativity: this is how the band outline its design.
Their debut work, Songs About Chaos (EP – 30 min.) embodies these thematics, shaped in a 7-songs concept that received pleasing reviews and approvals. The follow-up, The Inhuman Use ofHuman Beings (CD – 56 min.), first LP for the band, completely self-produced and distributed wordwide in both digital and mailorder format by CD Baby, is out on May 12, 2012!
